Kaleici
KALEİÇİ TRANSFER
The Meeting Point of History, Art and Mediterranean Spirit
Located in the heart of Antalya, Kaleici is the oldest settlement in the city and is almost like an open-air museum that travels through time. It is one of the regions that best reflects the spirit of Antalya with its narrow stone streets, historical buildings dating from the Ottoman and Roman periods, harbor, boutique hotels and lively social life.
Where is Kaleici?
Kaleiçi is located in the center of Antalya, in the district of Muratpaşa. It is located in a seafront location and is directly connected to Antalya Marina. It is only 15 km away from Antalya Airport and is the first stopover point for both domestic and foreign tourists with its easy transportation.
History of Kaleici
Kaleiçi was known as “Attaleia” in the ancient period and was ruled by the King of Pergamon II. It is the center of a port city founded by Attalos. It has also been an active living area during the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods. This multi-layered history is felt in the architecture and atmosphere of Kaleiçi.
places to visit
Hadrian's Gate (Three Gates): It was built in memory of the visit of the Roman Emperor Hadrian to Antalya. It is one of the most impressive entry points of Kaleiçi.
